War history with rival nougat factory emerges in Montante trial

Giuliana Geraci, the legal representative of the Geraci Snc nougat factory, testified in court as part of the “Sistema Montante” trial. She described strained relations between her father and Antonello Montante, who was a customer but then had a dispute with them. After this, the factory experienced increased inspections by health and fraud authorities, as well as problems with participation in an expo and opportunities with the Chamber of Commerce. Geraci also mentioned former employees leaving to work for a new nougat factory she believed to be owned by Montante, as well as a concerning incident of a break-in at her business.
