Waiter in Agrigento takes dinner to hotel room and abuses tourist: trial postponed

In San Leone, Agrigento, a 62-year-old hotel employee allegedly sexually assaulted a 30-year-old tourist by forcing his way into her room while delivering dinner. The woman reported the incident and the man has now been sent for trial. The victim stated that she resisted his advances, but he persisted and touched her breast. She was eventually able to push him away. Four days later, she filed a complaint with the police who informed the prosecutor’s office. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 18th, and the man is charged with aggravated sexual assault. This is the second recent case of violence against a tourist in Sicily, with the previous incident occurring in Noto where a 32-year-old man was arrested for attempting to sexually assault a 29-year-old Dutch woman while she was showering at a public beach.
