Vittoria’s Provincial Road in Alcerito Engulfed in Massive Fire: Smoke Fills Roadways

A new fire has broken out in Vittoria, in the province of Ragusa. This time, the area of Alcerito is engulfed in flames. The fire has spread along the provincial road 16, causing poor visibility and resulting in two accidents. The fire department and forestry department are working together to contain the flames. Due to the limited visibility, the area may be closed until the fire is completely extinguished. This is not the first fire in the area. Earlier this week, flames threatened the nearby Guzzardi hospital, requiring both ground and aerial interventions. In August, another large fire isolated four communities for three hours, including a center for immigrants. The flames also reached a former heavy vehicle workshop and a bed and breakfast in the Madonna district.
