Unicredit, financing for the enhancement of the monastery of Santa Caterina in Palermo

The Pulcherrima Res Social Cooperative of Palermo received a loan of 150 thousand euros from UniCredit, as part of the Social Impact Banking program, set up by the banking group to support initiatives and projects carried out with the clear intention of generating a positive and measurable social impact.

Pulcherrima Res, established in 2010, is a social cooperative that deals with the management of historical monuments by providing ticketing services and guided tours. In particular, the cooperative manages the monuments of the circuit The treasures of the loggia in Palermo (Oratorio S. Cita and San Domenico, church of S. Maria in Valverde, church of S. Giorgio dei Genovesi and church of San Mamiliano (formerly S. Cita) and S. Cataldo), and from 2019 also the baroque “jewel” of the Monastery of Santa Caterina d’Alessandria, located in the heart of the historic center of Palermo.

The Cooperative intends to strengthen the production and marketing of sweets. With the loan it will support investments for the activation of the e-commerce platform, the purchase of some laboratory equipment and health safety devices (ozone machine for local sanitation, sanitizing material, protective material, plexiglass panels for spacing and parafiato barriers).
