Two tourists robbed in Isola delle Femmine, four arrests made

The Carabinieri of the Carini company carried out a precautionary custody order, issued by the judge of Palermo, at the request of the prosecutor against four Palermitans, aged between 22 and 33, accused of armed robbery. The four would be the authors of a robbery against two Italian travelers living in the Czech Republic for years, which took place in Isola delle Femmine on June 4, 2022. The couple was in a taxi that was approached by two high-displacement motorcycles on Via degli Oleandri. The two tourists had been followed from Cinisi. They were blocked and while one of the robbers threatened the taxi driver with a helmet, the other two robbers managed to snatch the watch from the wrist of one of the two spouses. Thanks to the investigations, the identities of the robbers were identified. Two were taken to prison and two are under house arrest.
