Two drug smugglers arrested in Villabate.

The mobile section of the carabinieri in Misilmeri arrested a 34-year-old man from Agrigento and a 28-year-old Gambian man, both known to the police, on charges of drug possession and trafficking. The carabinieri noticed the two suspects driving in a dead-end street in Villabate late at night and became suspicious. The driver appeared nervous, and the men couldn’t explain their presence in the area. A search of the car revealed a backpack containing 25.7 grams of crack cocaine divided into doses, as well as 4.8 grams of cocaine and 5.5 grams of marijuana. The arrests were validated by a judge, who ordered the suspects to report to the police in their respective places of residence.
