Two arrested for drug dealing in Catania: one is 17 years old, the other is 48

Two people were arrested in Catania by the police during a drug operation in the district of San Giovanni Galermo, involving the flying squad, dog units, mounted squad, mobile squad, crime prevention unit, and local police.

A seventeen-year-old was arrested with 25 doses of cocaine, 17 doses of crack, 52 doses of marijuana, a precision scale, and a radio. The young person was taken to a reception center at the disposal of the juvenile court prosecutor.

The second arrestee, a 48-year-old man, was found at home with 7 grams of crack cocaine, packaging material, and notebooks with numbers and names.

Thanks to the drug dog Ares, during a search in the countryside behind via Capo Passero, 160 pre-packaged doses of marijuana, weighing about 150 grams, and a bag containing approximately 750 grams of unpackaged marijuana were found, as well as a metal container with doses of cocaine. Everything was seized for unknown persons.

The police also identified 40 people, 20 of whom had criminal records, seized 15 vehicles, and issued numerous fines for violations of traffic laws, particularly for driving without a helmet, lack of insurance coverage, and overdue inspections. Two vehicles were administratively impounded for lack of insurance coverage.
