Trapani aids Luglio Musicale in debt recovery

The Municipality of Trapani is facing a new problem as the Revenue Agency has seized €50,000 from the Ente Luglio Musicale Trapanese, a local music institution. This debt is related to the years 2016, 2017, and 2018. The entity had accumulated several debts with the Revenue Agency, but after negotiations, the seizure was reduced to €50,000. The Municipality of Trapani will cover the debt by allocating the specified amount from the 2023 budget. Despite this financial issue, the delegated councilor, Natale Pietrafitta, states that it does not indicate imminent closure or bankruptcy of the institution. This response is directed towards Maurizio Miceli, a candidate from the center-right party, who raised concerns about the financial situation of the Ente Luglio Musicale Trapanese. Miceli had discovered that the institution had not submitted half-yearly reports and faced difficulties with its budget in the past. The financial statement for 2022 has recently been approved, and there are discussions about addressing the debt management issues from previous administrations.
