Last night, in a road accident on the Costanzo Bridge, which connects Ragusa to Modica, two Ragusa spouses, aged 56 and 53, died in the collision between their motorcycle and a car. The victims, husband and wife from Ragusa, are Giovanni Cascone and Angela Polizzi. They were traveling on a CF 700 heading to Ragusa when they collided with a Renault Clio driven by a 28-year-old girl traveling in the opposite direction. The young driver of the car was injured, sustaining some fractures. She was taken to the Giovanni Paolo II Hospital in Ragusa, where she was hospitalized. She is not in life-threatening condition. The road was closed for several hours to allow the carabinieri of the Modica company to carry out the investigations. The bodies of the spouses were transported to the mortuary of the Maria Paternò Arezzo Hospital in Ragusa.
