An elderly man of seventy-six died in Canicattì after being engulfed by flames while burning some brush on his property. The tragedy occurred in the countryside near the town of Grottarossa. The fire spread quickly, and despite the arrival of firefighters, the man could not be saved. The incident is reminiscent of a similar one that occurred a few months ago in Naro, where a fifty-six-year-old man was severely burned while burning brush. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment. The police are investigating both cases to determine the cause of the accidents.
