Tourist in Palermo hit by car on Via Roma: rescued and brought to Emergency Room in critical condition at the Civico Hospital

Another incident in Palermo, another pedestrian hit. This time it was a 78-year-old Italian-American tourist who was struck last night around 11 pm on via Roma. According to initial reports, the man was crossing the road near via Mariano Stabile when he was hit by a car traveling on one of the city’s main arteries towards the train station. The 78-year-old, who had been on vacation in the city for a few days, was transported to the Civico hospital in critical condition. He suffered multiple fractures to one leg. The municipal police’s accident investigation department is conducting an inquiry, as the Fiat Panda driven by a 58-year-old was found to be uninsured.
