Torna Sherbet: Sicilian ice cream star in Palermo with events and top chefs

Over 50 master gelato makers from all over the world; workshops where you can admire the live production; moments of in-depth and cultural exploration. Sherbeth returns to Palermo from November 8th to 11th. The heart of the event will be in Piazza Verdi and Via Maqueda, right in front of the Teatro Massimo. Here, a large artisan Atelier will be set up where gelato makers from various parts of the world will prepare their flavors strictly in an artisanal way with the help of Bravo Spa machines, which can be tasted in the “Artisan Gelato Kiosks.”

This year, the novelty of two auditoriums: one will be located inside the “Sala dei dipinti” in the Teatro Massimo in Palermo and one next to the Gelato Atelier, where experts will discuss various topics related to the world of gelato. There will also be cooking shows with Michelin-starred chefs and an event with Ruben, considered by Forbes one of the best food influencers. Renato Trabalza and Lorenzo Domenighini will also be present.

For the first time this year, considering its international vocation, the festival was presented in Rome and Milan at the respective headquarters of the Foreign Press Association. After the two press conferences, led by Paolo Davide Alamia and Antonio Cappadonia, there was a tasting of artisanal gelato with master gelato maker Vincenzo Lenci, who, at the prestigious Roman venue of Palazzo Grazioli, let foreign journalists taste “grandmother’s vanilla with lemon zest” and “pine nut harmonies,” the flavor with which Lenci won the “Procopio Cutò” award two years ago. In Milan, Osvaldo Palermo offered foreign press journalists a chocolate gelato using a single-origin mass from Ghana and a mascarpone gelato with salted caramel.
