Three people reported in Trapani for drunk or drug-impaired driving.

A 21-year-old and a 39-year-old were caught driving drunk and were reported by the carabinieri in Trapani. Another motorist, a 31-year-old with a criminal record, tested positive for cocaine and methadone and was charged with driving under the influence of drugs. The carabinieri found that the first two individuals had an alcohol level well above the legal limit. In addition to the three who were reported, two other people were reported to the prefecture for possessing small quantities of drugs for personal use. The carabinieri in Trapani have been intensifying their external services to enforce traffic laws and combat the problem of accidents caused by impaired driving.
