Three of the new Nobel laureates of 2023 have previously taught at the Ettore Majorana Foundation in Erice. These include Professor Pierre Agostini from Ohio University, who has been at Erice several times in the past, Professor Anne L’Huillier from Lund University in Sweden, who was there last March, and Professor Moungi G. Bawendi from MIT in the US, who was there in 1993. Agostini and Bawendi have been at Erice since the 1970s, while L’Huillier recently visited for a course on the “Frontiers of X-ray Science and Ultrafast Attosecond”.
