There are 123 new positives at Covid in Catania. The Rt index in Italy is stable

There are 578 new positives at Covid in Sicily in the last 24 hours according to what is reported in the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health on 24,570 rapid and molecular swabs analyzed.

Since the beginning of the emergency, the total cases are 151,587 while the current positives are 26,597, 429 fewer than in the last 24 hours. Of these, 776 are hospitalized with symptoms and 132 in intensive care, for a total of 908 hospitalized cases.

A slight decline in the recovered or discharged that after over a thousand of the past few days today stops 986, for a total of 120,894 since the beginning of the pandemic. While even today there are 21 deaths for a total of 4,096.

The 578 new cases are distributed as follows: Palermo 265, Catania 123, Messina 66, Trapani 17, Syracuse 40, Ragusa 14, Caltanissetta 17, Agrigento 16 and Enna 20.

The Rt index in Italy is stable at 0.99, the same figure as last week. This is what would have emerged from today’s meeting of the Control Room. The estimated range is 0.93-1.03, with the top margin thus remaining above 1, just like seven days ago.
