At the end of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union, on 30 June last, the Campus of European Universities was held at the Congress Center of Versailles, in France.

The University of Catania was present, as a partner of the EUNICE European University for Costumised Education project, together with over 300 institutions from all over Europe that make up the 41 European university alliances.
Not only universities, but also commercial partners, stakeholders and other social actors, representatives of the EU Member States and the European Commission.
The aim was to take stock and analyze the state of the art of the projects carried out.

The event was conceived as a campus open to interested parties in the field of tertiary education, in Europe and beyond.
The 41 university Alliances had the opportunity to present their activities and their objectives to the students and stakeholders present, in thematic workshops, round tables, discussion spaces.

The meeting fostered a fruitful discussion between universities on their contribution to the implementation of the European strategy for universities, promoting cross-border alliances and cooperation, supporting research and innovation.

In line with the idea of ​​French President Emmanuel Macron, the event was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other French institutions.

Sylvie Retailleau, French Minister of Higher Education and Research, visited the EUNICE booth at the start of her tour of the fair and inquired about offers and projects.

The partner universities of the EUNICE project are, in addition to the University of Catania (Italy), Poznan University of Technology (Poland, coordinator), Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (Germany), Universidad de Cantabria (Spain), Université de Mons ( Belgium), Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (France), University of Vaasa (Finland).
