After two years of forced absence due to the pandemic, the Sciacca Film Fest is back and this year, from 1 to 4 December it will celebrate its 14th edition. to documentaries. Four are scheduled: two short films, Being my mom by Jasmine Trinca and Il packo by Antonio Corsini, then at 8.30 pm the documentary by Marco Spagnoli dedicated to Franco Battiato and at 10 pm the historical documentary The march on Rome by Marck Cousins.
Compared to past years, there will be no competition and the festival will close on Sunday 4 December with the screening of “La timidetà delle chiome” by Valentina Bertani. The festival, albeit in a reduced form, will re-propose the sections that have always characterized it.
An important new feature is a section dedicated to children’s cinema. The signing of a memorandum of understanding between the festival and the Inveges middle school will allow around a hundred youngsters to form a jury to view four films and decide the final judgement. The path undertaken with the Inveges school is the prelude to a work with schools that will develop from the next edition.
