The mayor of Carini declares war on uncultivated and abandoned lands and denounces three owners.

Three residents of Carini will be reported in the coming days for failing to clean up and secure their uncultivated and abandoned lands on Via Torretta, Via Agrigento, and the corner of Via Vespucci and Via Aquila. The orders to prevent fires were issued on July 12th, 13th, and 14th by Mayor Giovì Monteleone, upon the proposal of Municipal Police Commander Marco Venuti, Civil Protection Manager Antonio Badalamenti, and Technical Instructor Giovanni Giambanco, and were notified over ten days ago. As the mayor states, by disregarding the warnings and subsequent orders, these individuals have endangered public safety. Uncultivated lands become breeding grounds for dirt, rodents, and various animals, and become ideal environments for the spread of flames as temperatures rise during the summer. For all these reasons, we will be uncompromising.
