The earth is shaking in Sicily: earthquakes off the coast of Palermo and Stromboli

The earth shakes in Sicily. Two earthquakes have occurred in the last few hours: one in the Palermo area and one in the Messina area. One at sea, in the central northern Sicilian coast, off the coast of Palermo, at 2:13 of magnitude 2.4. The shock was recorded at a depth of 3 km in Rome. The earthquake was not felt on land.

The other, stronger earthquake, with a magnitude of 3.5, occurred at 07:16 with its epicenter at Stromboli, in the province of Messina. The estimated depth was about 279.1 km. The earthquake was detected by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology in Rome.
