After the pause of the last three years, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the appointment with the “Franciscan Christmas Market” is back in the city, which was inaugurated on Wednesday evening in the evocative setting of the cloister of the convent of the Friars Capuchins. The initiative, now in its fourth edition, takes up the tradition started by the Capuchin Friars of Syracuse under the banner of solidarity. A moment to rediscover and rediscover the Christmas atmosphere that already attracted hundreds of Syracusans on Wednesday and Thursday. “This year the Market – said the parish priest, Friar Emiliano Strino – will also be an opportunity to support the needs and charitable activities of the parish”. Among the stands of the Market you will find many gift ideas, Christmas items, ethnic crafts but also plants, sweets and much more.
The Market will remain until 11 December and from 15 to 18 December, respecting the following times: Friday 9 December, from 9 to 10.30 and from 17.30 to 19.30; Saturday 10 December, from 9 to 10.30 and from 16 to 20 and Sunday 11 December, from 9.15 to 12.30 and from 17.30 to 20. It will resume on Thursday 15 December, from 9 to 10.30 and from 17 ,30 to 19.30; Friday 16 December, from 9 to 10.30 and from 17.30 to 19.30; Saturday 17 December from 9 to 10.30 and from 16 to 20 and Sunday 11 December, from 9.15 to 12.30 and from 17.30 to 20.
