A 77-year-old man was denounced by the agents of the Syracuse Flying Squad for the crime of very serious injuries, perpetrated against another 82-year-old elderly man who is hospitalized in the Umberto I hospital on a confidential prognosis.

In the late morning yesterday, the accused, aboard an electric scooter, had an altercation with his victim, who was driving a car, for road traffic reasons.

The quarrel culminated at the traffic lights in viale Teracati when the two came to blows and the driver of the electric scooter hit his victim with kicks and punches causing him serious injuries.

The 82-year-old, promptly rescued by a police officer in transit, was transported by ambulance to the emergency room and, at the moment, the clinical conditions remain serious.
