Develop a synergy between the cities of Palermo and Trapani to promote the attractiveness of the western Sicilian territory. This is the focus of the meeting that was held this morning in the Palazzo delle Aquile headquarters and which saw the participation of the mayor of Palermo Leoluca Orlando, the mayor of Trapani Giacomo Tranchida and the councilors Paolo Petralia Camassa and Rosalia D’Alì. Also present were Pasqualino Monti president of the Port Authority of Western Sicily, Giovanni Scalia, president Gesap and Salvatore Ombra, CEO of Airgest Trapani.
From the comparison emerged the great attractive potential of the entire district of western Sicily and the consequent need to systematize the best forms of territorial promotion. It was a first meeting which will be followed by others for which the involvement of the territorial reality of the Agrigento area is strategic.
To concretize, as a first step, the shared promotion activity, it was agreed to create a technical table to coordinate the most appropriate forms of territorial promotion for the context of western Sicily. The Port Authority has confirmed its systemic approach concerning the territories of Termini Imerese, Palermo, Trapani up to Porto Empedocle, and which allows, together with the airports of Trapani and Palermo, a synergistic path of shared promotional activities.
