Michela Vittoria Brambilla, president of the parliamentary commission for childhood and adolescence, expresses her condolences to the family of a 13-year-old boy who took his own life, possibly due to bullying. She highlights the increasing cases of depression, eating disorders, and self-harm among young people, often as a result of physical or psychological violence. She calls for rapid approval of a proposed law to prevent and combat bullying and cyberbullying, which includes providing psychological support to students in schools to prevent situations of risk and distress, involving families as well.
