From the 27 to 31 July 2022 Stragusto returns to Trapanithe Street Food and Markets Festival.
The event is held in the Piazza Mercato del Pesce and offers an ideal path made of taste, culture and traditions.
You can taste many street food specialties and desserts and participate in wine tastings.
Between the specialty that characterize the gluttonous itinerary of the event are there Sicilian typicality, Abruzzo, Florentine, and Ascoli.
Space for Palermo delicacies, such as panelle, arancine, meusabut also al Street food typical of Trapani, Catania and Messina.

The location, the Fish Market
The Trapani fish market it is a historical place with a strong visual impact.
It is a real agora, which has marked the days of many people from Trapani over the years.
It is the old market for the fish saletoday brought to new splendor by a recent renovation.
In addition to being perfectly inserted in the context of the Stragusto event as an expression of the city’s “culinary” tradition and history, it also has the merit of being in the historic center and therefore easily accessible.
It has a panoramic position, between the beach and a viewpoint over the sea.
Useful information to participate in Stragusto
The Stragusto Festival takes place in the historic center of Trapani, so it is best to arrive on foot and not venture out by car.
Along the Dante Alighieri coast road, in Piazza Vittorio, there is a large parking lot, about 500 meters from the venue of the event.
Walking along Viale Regina Margherita and the historic Via Garibaldi, you will arrive right in Piazza Mercato del Pesce in less than 10 minutes.
Another free parking it is located in Piazzale Ilio.
Also in the Port area, there is the ATM Trapani Multi-storey Car Park (via Ilio at the corner with via Trento).
Near the historic center it is also possible to park on the blue lines for a fee.
