Storefront smashers still at work in Palermo: Clothing store and toy store targeted

Once again, there have been smash-and-grab incidents in Palermo. This time, a shop selling oriental clothing on Via Maqueda between Via del Celso and the Quattro Canti (pictured) was targeted. According to initial reports, someone smashed the window with a stone and entered the store. The owners discovered the theft, but the amount stolen has yet to be quantified.

Two days ago, the window of the Katena Toy toy store on Via Napoli was shattered. Law enforcement was alerted and conducted an investigation. This business had been targeted two months ago, with an attempted theft that was unsuccessful as nothing was taken.

The wave of smash-and-grab thefts in Palermo continues. Also two days ago, on Via Fiume, thieves smashed the window of the “Magia” lingerie store and looted the establishment. In the area, a Mercedes window was also shattered.
