Speed limits not respected on via Roma in Palermo: “Too many accidents near the Post Office building”

The deputy vice president of the City Council, Giuseppe Mancuso, met with the president of the first district, Giovanni Bronte, and the mobility office to discuss solutions to make the pedestrian crossing on Via Roma safer. There have been too many serious accidents in recent months involving pedestrians crossing the street near the Post Office and Rinascente. Mancuso stated that there have been numerous complaints from parents who accompany their children to school in the area. Despite the presence of road signs and flashing lights, drivers do not respect the speed limits near the pedestrian crossings. The constant violation of traffic laws by drivers has caused numerous accidents, prompting the officials to seek a new solution to avoid risks.
