“Small Sacred Group” exhibition of the Holy Week of Caltanissetta

Tomorrow, Monday, at 10.00, the sculptural work of the “Small Sacred Group”, coming from the celebrations of Holy Week in Caltanissetta, will be unveiled to the public, which will remain on display throughout the summer in the Departures Hall, inside the Terminal A of Catania airport.

An initiative strongly desired by Giovanna Candura, vice president of SAC and commissioner of the Caltanissetta Chamber of Commerce, to make tourists and travelers enjoy one of the most interesting representations of sacred art of the Nissena Holy Week, known all over the world.

It is a sculptural group created in the early 1920s by the Nissen artist Salvatore Capizzi.

Present at the presentation of the work will be the president of the Region, Nello Musumeci, the president and CEO of the SAC, Sandro Gambuzza and Nico Torrisi, the vice president Giovanna Candura, Giovanni Savarino, representative of the Caltanissetta Chamber of Commerce, mayor and deputy mayor of Caltanissetta, Roberto Gambino and Grazia Giammusso, as well as Nicola and Michele Spena, among the founders of the Small Sacred Groups association.
