The State Police have arrested a 44-year-old man for attempted extortion. The suspect, while illegally working as a parking attendant in Palermo Street near Ortigia in Siracusa, allegedly tried to extort 5 euros from a victim by threatening them. However, the victim, who happened to be an off-duty police officer, immediately alerted his colleagues. The illegal parking attendant has been taken to the Cavadonna prison.
