The firefighting team of Caltagirone is engaged at Largo Cappuccini in Vizzini for a heavy vehicle partially sunk into a sinkhole that opened up on the road. The sinkhole appears to be about ten meters deep and the vehicle is in a state of instability as its drive wheels are partly submerged below the road surface. The firefighters are securing the area and the vehicle itself. The intervention of a crane sent from the central headquarters has been required. The driver of the vehicle was unharmed. The Vizzini municipal police are also present at the scene of the incident.
