After the success of the first 3 editions, "Sikaru – the art of beer in Sicily" is back. The much awaited event is organized by the Iauru and Duci Cultural Association and will take place in Termini Imerese. Excellent Sicilian craft beers will be combined with typical products and delicacies of local restaurants. Many new features of this fourth edition!
The event was included in the "ViviAmo il Mare" project, and will take place on 10 and 11 August in the splendid setting of the Termini Imerese Pier (formerly Vela Club / Yachting Club), simultaneously with the "La route du Jasmin ”, which will see the participation in the Sikaru of several French boats. Everything will be surrounded by street art events and recycling education, and it will be possible to live multimedia experiences through the use of viewers that will allow you to immerse yourself in wonderful marine ecosystems.
The event will also focus on respect for the environment and the protection of the sea, which is why it will be “Plastic Free”: the delicatessens will be provided with completely compostable plates and cutlery. To cheer the two evenings the protagonists will be the "Jassau" on August 10th and the overwhelming notes of Jumpin'up on August 11th, the Sicilian band that since 2005 has been recreating the warm sound of Swing and Jive of the 40s and 50s.
For the more adventurous, instead, it will be possible to participate in the “Curri ca birra”, the collegiate foot race in which the race will alternate glasses full of beer. The Curri ca birra, which over the years has become a must for the event, will take place on 11 August starting at 7 pm, with a final "mulunata" for all participants! Tastings, cultural spaces, buskers shows, entertainment and excellent music for an event that will be able to amaze and leave its mark.
