Sicilian development plan receives 6.8 billion from Rome, signed by Meloni-Schifani
This morning (24 May), the regional council chaired by Renato Schifani defined the Fsc (Development and Cohesion Fund) plan, which will be signed next Monday at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo with the central government, in the presence of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Minister for European and Cohesion Affairs Raffaele Fitto. The plan allocates a total of 6.8 billion euros for Sicily, including 1.3 billion for the Bridge over the Strait.
Under the thematic area of business competitiveness, the cohesion agreement 21-27 includes a line aimed at promoting the construction, requalification, and adaptation of infrastructure for industrial activities for the completion and enhancement of spaces and areas of productive activities. The funding is 100 million euros. The intervention will also involve the industrial area of Catania.
