Show: ‘Ecological’ review at the salt pans of Marsala – Sicily

Theater, music and dance for the fourth edition of “A scurata”

(ANSA) – MARSALA, 06 JUL – On a stage that respects the ecosystem of the salt pans (structure in tuff just above the water level), the shows will be held in the former Saline Genna, in Marsala, from 27 July to 4 September of the IV edition of “A scurata”, a review with 13 events (theater, music and dance) organized by the local Cultural Art Movement. Among the names of the artists on the bill: Giovanni Gulino (Marta sui Tubi), Alessio Piazza, Emanuele Chirco and Rosario Lisma. The slogan of this edition is “Art tastes like salt”. Another novelty, in addition to the stage, is a new audience built on the sand that brings the audience closer to the scene.

The common thread of the shows is “feeling made in Sicily”.

A Sicilian identity which, however, merges with the integration between peoples. “We wanted to create a billboard that was as Sicilian as possible, our own – says the artistic director Gregorio Caimi – and yet with eyes on the other, the need to build integration, cooperation between peoples, but also entertain. All made in a place where nature makes peace with man and on a stage that is absolutely respectful of the ecosystem of the salt pan “. The “Big band Arco Orchestra” will open the festival on the evening of July 27th, which on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the foundation of the homonymous association will offer the public the most beautiful Italian melodies of the 40s and 50s up to to Frank Sinatra. To close the curtain, on September 4th, will be “Terroni”, taken from the best-seller by Pino Aprile, with Roberto D’Alessandro and music by Andrea Russo, Ernesto Barraco, Irene Sciacca. (HANDLE).
