Shooting competition at Olympic shooting range in Mazara del Vallo for Mediterranean Grand Prix

The Olympic shooting range in Mazara del Vallo is preparing to host the second edition of the Mediterranean Grand Prix on 6th and 7th July. This international event is organized by the Asd Tiro a volo 2020 Mazara, in collaboration with Fitav and with the patronage of Coni, the Sicilian Region, the regional department of Tourism, Sport and Entertainment, and the Municipality of Mazara del Vallo, along with the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Sicilian Regional Assembly this year. The shooting range in contrada Castelluzzo, managed solely by Asd Tiro a volo 2020 Mazara, confirms itself as one of the most important shooting facilities in Europe after the success of last year’s first edition of the Mediterranean Grand Prix. The 2024 edition of trap and paratrap shooting will see over 150 athletes from various Mediterranean countries competing for the prize money in different categories, both as a team and individually. The Maltese National Team will also be participating. The Saro Avveduto Trophy, dedicated to the late vice president of the Federation, a gold star of sports merit, will be awarded during the same event, in memory of his efforts to bring the shooting range in Mazara back to its former glory.
