Shooting at Mob nightclub in Villagrazia di Carini: Young defendant acquitted and released from prison

The judge Ivana Vassallo acquitted and released Manuel Catalano, an 18-year-old who was accused of firing shots in the Mob discotheque in Villagrazia di Carini on the evening of December 23rd. The young man was originally charged with attempted murder but was later charged with illegal possession of a weapon. However, a new expert analysis showed that Catalano could not have caused the holes found in the roof of the club as the trajectory did not match the gun he allegedly used. Additionally, the gun was never found, and it was suggested that it may have been a blank-firing gun used to disperse the crowd during a fight. The content includes a screenshot from a video recorded at the club during the incident.
