Three people are missing after the sinking of a boat off the coast of Marettimo. They were migrants on a rubber dinghy trying to reach one of the farthest Egadi islands. While nine people were rescued by the Coast Guard, three migrants remain missing. The survivors informed authorities about their missing companions. Despite search efforts, no results have been obtained. A Coast Guard helicopter has also been deployed for an aerial search. The nationality of the rescued migrants is still unknown.
