In a tragic incident at San Giovanni Li Cuti beach in the province of Catania, a 60-year-old man died after going for a swim. While swimming, he suddenly fell ill. He had gone to the beach alone, and it was a bystander who noticed his body floating and raised the alarm. The rescue team retrieved him several meters away from the shore. The police and forensic doctor were called to the scene. The cause of the man’s death was determined to be a heart attack.
