Members of the Democratic Party, Ouidad Bakkali and Cecilia D’Elia, commented on a recent television program that exposed a rape survivor to messages from her attackers and anonymous citizens, leading to distorted and intolerable portrayals of the victim. They expressed concern alongside over 300 journalists, intellectuals, writers, activists, and survivors in a letter to Rai and Agcom. The Democratic Party also proposed an amendment promoting respectful narratives for survivors and avoiding victim-blaming in the media.
