Santangelo (M5S): “Maximum attention from the Ministry for the reopening of the seafarers' clinic in Trapani”

The Senator Vincenzo Santangelo returns to the story of the closure of the Trapani office of the clinic that offers health assistance to seafaring, maritime and civil aviation personnel (SASN), which only a few weeks ago he had submitted to the attention of the Ministry of Health and in particular of Undersecretary Sileri. “Following the report sent and the continuous contacts I had with the Ministry and in particular with Undersecretary Sileri – whom I thank – I had confirmation of the maximum attention that is placed on the matter, also given the importance of the problem that has been going on for some month and that it concerns all Trapani seafarers forced to go to Mazara del Vallo to benefit from outpatient services. In the past, the old offices were closed not by the will of the administration, but due to contractual problems regarding properties belonging to private individuals. To overcome these impediments, a site owned by the ASP was identified which, however, needed renovations. “The building work was immediately started and continued also following the change to the top management of the ASP with the arrival by Commissioner Zappalà.
“The Ministry – concludes Santangelo – considers the reopening of the Trapani office to be absolutely fundamental and now we are working at full speed to reach this result as soon as possible. I would like to reassure all Trapani seafarers that I and Undersecretary Sileri have the utmost attention on this issue. We will monitor the completion of the works and give further feedback to the citizens “.
