Sant’Agata Militello, car crashes into a wall: three boys injured

This morning (20 August) around 8, along the provincial road 113, in the locality of Torrecandele, a violent accident woke the residents. Involved three young people who, aboard a Fiat 500 ended up against the wall of a private home.

The exact dynamics of the accident have yet to be established. On the spot the carabinieri, the municipal police officers and the firefighters who extracted the three young people from the twisted metal sheets of the car. According to the first findings it would seem that the driver has lost control of the vehicle crashing into the wall, while proceeding in the direction of Messina. The boys were transferred to the emergency room of the Sant’Agata Militello hospital by the 118 health workers, they reported numerous traumas and injuries but no one would be in danger of life.

The intervention of the firefighters of the Sant’Agata detachment to extract the young people from the metal sheets was decisive.

Meanwhile, the funeral of Salvatore Tomasi, 25 years old victim last August 14 of a fatal accident, was celebrated in Sant’Agata, in the Mother Church: while he was driving along provincial road 161 in his car, towards Militello Rosmarino.
