SAN CATALDO. 241 out of 500 signatures have already been collected on Change.Org from a petition launched in San Cataldo by a lady who asked the ASP: “Is it right to reduce the number of pediatricians in San Cataldo? I’m not there! ”.
“Hello everyone – reads the text of the petition – I decided to write this post after becoming aware of the fact that no pediatrician will replace Doctor Panascì, who, after many years of excellent work, will retire at the end of the month.
This news surprised me somewhat because I did not understand what will become of all children who still have the right to have a pediatrician, just as parents should have the possibility to choose a pediatrician for their children.
I believe that – continues the text of the petition – in a country of nearly 23,000 inhabitants, it is unacceptable that there will only be two pediatricians left and I wonder what will happen if one of the two should, for various reasons, be absent from work; how could such a situation be managed, already aggravated by the suspension of the PPI-P (pediatric first aid point) in a period, among other things, of health emergency, such as the one we are experiencing “.
