Sambuca works on third round of €3 house sale.
After the success of the sale of the “1 and 2 euro houses”, the municipality of Sambuca di Sicilia is working to define the third call and relaunch the sale of about ten houses at the base auction price of 3 euros. This was announced by the mayor of the town in the province of Agrigento, Giuseppe Cacioppo, at the end of Bte, the extra-hotel tourism exchange organized in Palermo by Confesercenti Sicilia. “We continue to believe that the project of one-euro houses is the right way to create development – said Cacioppo – but the sale alone is not enough. It is logical that this formula finds more interest in our territory, which has characteristics that amplify the interest of buyers: the wealth of the entrepreneurial fabric, the theater, the wineries and dairies, farms and facilities to accommodate tourists, especially in the naturalistic and wine tourism segment. With the first and second call, the municipality managed to sell thirty properties, also triggering 170 private sales, which in total moved over 4 and a half million euros in purchases and sales, animating the economy of the town. It is now only waiting for the date on which the third call will be published, which is expected to arrive in January 2024.”
