Sambuca works on third round of 3 euro house sale

After the success of selling “houses for 1 and 2 euros”, the Municipality of Sambuca di Sicilia is working on defining the third call and relaunching the sale of about ten houses at the base price of 3 euros. The mayor of the town in the province of Agrigento, Giuseppe Cacioppo, announced this at the Bte, the extra-hotel tourism exchange organized in Palermo by Confesercenti Sicilia. “We continue to believe that the project of the one-euro houses is the right way to create development,” said Cacioppo, “but the sale alone is not enough. It is logical that this formula has more appeal in our area, which has characteristics that amplify the interest of buyers: the richness of the entrepreneurial fabric, the theater, the wineries and dairies, farms, and facilities to accommodate tourists, especially in the naturalistic and wine tourism segment. With the first and second calls, the Municipality managed to sell thirty properties, also triggering 170 private sales, which in total have generated over 4.5 million euros in transactions, animating the economy of the town. Now we are only waiting for the date of the publication of the third call, which is expected to arrive in January 2024”.
