Salvini in Gela: “Bills too high, there is a risk of a massacre of companies”

“I continue to appeal to all politics, to all parties to find us, unite and solve the electricity and gas problem.” This was stated by Matteo Salvini, leader of the League, today in Gela for the electoral campaign.
Salvini fears for businesses. “For Covid – he says – there have been more than 150 billion euros allocated, that of expensive energy is an emergency that does not see the death not of women and men but of companies, by the thousands, in the coming days”.

And he adds: «I am amazed by the silence of others on the left – he adds – on the solution of the problem of increases in bills. We proposed to copy France, which took tens of billions of euros to put a cap on the increase in electricity and gas bills. In Italy we need no less than 30 billion, this says the business world, and therefore the League’s appeal is to divide us on something else but to unite, to restore trust, certainty, to citizens and businesses, immediately distinguishing what risks being a national emergency ». For Salvini, «the Parliament and the Government are in office so they can and must intervene. I hope that Letta, I give an example, accepts this commitment. Because it’s okay to wait for Europe’s intervention, and if it comes out very well, it’s okay to tax extra profits, but with less than 30 billion, you won’t solve the problem ».
