Roccalumera, traffic warden hit by a vehicle after issuing a fine: arrested for attempted murder.

#Messina
In Roccalumera, a town in the province of Messina, a 43-year-old man was arrested after parking in a restricted area, receiving a fine, and then angrily running over a traffic officer with his car. He even attempted to flee the scene. His violent reaction led to charges of attempted murder. The incident occurred on Umberto I street, where parking restrictions were in place for the celebrations of the town’s patron, Madonna del Carmelo. After tearing up the ticket in front of the traffic officer, the man got into his car, engaged the gear, and accelerated, hitting the officer. Chaos ensued as bystanders witnessed the scene and immediately alerted the authorities. The police later located and arrested the man. The injured officer was attended to by medical personnel and transported to the hospital with moderate injuries to the chest and head. A similar incident took place over the weekend in Modica, where a Belgian tourist assaulted a traffic warden after receiving a parking fine for not displaying a parking ticket.
