Ragusa, the carabinieri close abusive car bodywork in San Giacomo

He managed a car body shop in totally illegal conditions and without any authorization, including environmental ones, required by sector legislation and for this reason a 47-year-old offender from San Giacomo, a hamlet of Ragusa, was denounced by the Carabinieri of the Ragusa Ibla station. Last Monday the military showed up at the man’s home together with Provincial Police personnel and began the check that brought to light a situation of total illegality with the repeated and blatant violation of all the rules provided for the management of this type of activity with particular relevance of infringements to environmental legislation and the management of hazardous special waste and processing waste, which are also found in quantities inside the workshop.
Once the absence of the required authorizations and certifications was ascertained, the immediate closure of the activity was triggered with the consequent seizure of the area to which the seals of the Judicial Authority were affixed, which also ordered the seizure of all the material found inside, including vehicles present and waiting to be repaired. authorized due to the general lack of further authorizations envisaged and for which, in addition to the criminal sanctions, the environmental code provides very high fines that can reach more than 20 thousand euros.
