Ragusa – Italian railway network (Italian FS Group) has published the call for tenders for the first phase of interventions of the Ragusa Metroferrovia.
This was announced by RFI in a note, explaining that these are the adaptation and redevelopment interventions of the Ragusa station and the construction of the new Colajanni metro stop, located in a modern district of new expansion of the Ragusa city.
The amount of the tender – we read – is approximately 6.5 million euros.
Other interventions are also planned concerning the armament and safety systems, to be carried out with funds provided for under the RFI Framework Agreements, for a total investment of 13.5 million.
The intervention represents the first phase of the Metroferrovia Ragusa project which provides, in addition to the redevelopment of the Ragusa station and the construction of the Colajanni stop, also the construction of the new Cisternazzi station serving the expansion area and the new hospital pole of the city and the redevelopment of the Ibla station.
A work that – concludes the note -, through a series of stops and stations, will allow the city of Ragusa to equip itself with a metropolitan railway service.
