Prosecutor suspended, case of boy entrusted to priest and abused closed.

Another case that led the Italian Superior Council of Magistracy to suspend prosecutor Alessia Sinatra from her duties involved the tragic story of a boy entrusted to a priest by his parents at the age of 13. When the boy died, it was his parents who reported the abuse and mistreatment he suffered at the hands of the priest, who took advantage of the vulnerability of the entire family. Sinatra requested the case be closed due to lack of complaint, 8 years after the investigation began, which exceeded a reasonable duration. She can appeal the Disciplinary Council’s decision to the civil sections of the Supreme Court.
