Prosecutor Sinatra suspended from service after prescribing child abuses

Delays and setbacks in defining investigations into violence and sexual abuse, with minors as victims in some cases, have caused the prescription of crimes in several instances. This is the reason why Palermo prosecutor Alessia Sinatra, at the center of the Creazzo case, has been sentenced by the disciplinary section of the CSM to a six-month suspension from duty and transfer to the court of Caltanissetta with functions as a civil judge. This is a much heavier penalty than the one requested by the general prosecutor of the Supreme Court, which represents the prosecution: a loss of seniority of three months.
