Preparations underway in Palermo for Nakajima’s magnate party: renovations at Politeama.

The installation of the mezzanine that will cover the seats in the orchestra section for the celebration of magnate Kaoru Nakajima has begun in Palermo. The theater, rented for 7 days, with 6 days dedicated to set up the stage and scenery for the dinner show on Sunday, November 5th, was granted for free by the Leoluca Orlando-led municipal administration (before the current mayor Roberto Lagalla). The Foss foundation, which manages the Ruggero Settimo square theater, will receive a fee for an additional 3 days of rental, amounting to 35,700 euros (+ VAT). This includes 18,200 euros for the theater rental (including a penalty due to the event being rescheduled from 2022 to 2023) and another 17,500 euros for a performance by a Symphony ensemble (comprised of 16 to 20 members) during the Gala. The festivities will be preceded by an event in the afternoon at the Massimo theater, featuring internationally renowned artists brought by the famous producer Jimmy Pallas, the organizer of the extravagant birthday celebration. The guest list includes Elton John, Eric Clapton, Celine Dion, Sting, AC/DC, and Lenny Kravitz. Among them, there may be artists who will come to Palermo to perform in front of over a thousand guests of the Japanese billionaire. Nakajima has rented Villa Igiea from November 3rd to 5th, while the rest of the guests are staying in hotels in the historic center, with the input of Federalberghi. Nakajima, originally from Tokyo, started his career as a songwriter and then ventured into the pyramid marketing business in 1982, joining Amway Japan. Since then, he has become a billionaire and has founded two other companies, Heckel and Top4, with a network of 750,000 distributors worldwide.
