Pregnant migrant woman hospitalized, man quarantined for tuberculosis

A young woman, seven months pregnant, was admitted to the Polyambulatory. A man was instead quarantined for tuberculosis. They were also on the small boat, which departed from Sfax in Tunisia, and arrived in Lampedusa after being rescued by the Coast Guard patrol boat. On board there were a total of 47 migrants from Cameroon, Senegal, Gambia, Ivory Coast, Guinea and Mali. At the Imbriacola hotspot, after today’s 3 landings, there are 150 guests, including 6 children under 14. For this evening, the Prefecture of Agrigento has arranged a transfer with the ferry to Porto Empedocle. The number of migrants to be moved is still to be quantified.
